Title: Glazed Turnips

Yield: 4 serving

Ingredients

Instructions

Wash and peel the turnips. If they're relatively small to medium sized, halve crosswise then quarter the halves. IF they're larger, fabricate them down to pieces about that size.

Arrange in a skillet in a single layer and add enough water to reach halfway up the turnips, about 1.5 cups. Add butter, sugar, and salt and boil over medium heat, covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Then remove the lid and boil uncovered, stirring a bit more frequently, until the turnips are tender and the water has evaporated, about 8 more minutes.

Then sautee the turnips, stirring, until golden brown, perhaps 5 minutes more. Then add 3 tbsp water and stir everything together to coat the turnips with their glaze.
